The Farmers & Artisan Market will return every first Saturday throughout 2021. 8am to 2pm

Devizes Farmers & Artisan Market

Market Place – Devizes Farmers & Artisan Market

Every first Saturday of the month.

Devizes Farmers and Artisan Market

In brief our Traders and Producers come from a 30-mile radius of Devizes and they have either grown, reared or made their products, generally using local grown/reared ingredients.  The traders are very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging, so ask them a question about their product line, they are always happy to help.

The concept of a farmers’ market is not a new one. Far back in history farmers have bartered and sold goods. A farmers’ market simply sells locally produced goods to local people. Farmers’ markets benefit the locally environment by encouraging small-scale less intensive production, reducing the effects of long-distance transport of goods, and reducing packaging. They benefit producers and consumers by providing a social meeting point, giving them direct contact with each other, and encouraging goodwill and understanding between rural and urban populations.

Not all traders attend all each month – so there is space for more traders!  If you want to check on particular availability, please make contact.
